Building here

Housing stock: Glenview is a North Shore-area village whose former Naval Air Station Glenview, closed in the 1990s, was redeveloped as The Glen, a mixed neighborhood of homes, shops and parks. Elsewhere its housing is largely mid-20th-century single-family homes alongside older homes near downtown. [CONFIRM details]

Typical projects: Kitchen and bath remodels, whole-home renovations, basement finishing, integrated technology. [PLACEHOLDER — confirm]

Permitting: Permits here are issued by the Village of Glenview Community Development Department (Development Center). General and demolition contractors must register with the Village before work begins — a $50 fee, a $25,000 surety bond, a certificate of insurance and proof of workers' compensation, all approved by the Village; specialty trades may need to show their state license. We handle permit applications and inspection scheduling as part of the project. [CONFIRM current requirements with the department before each job]

Questions we hear

Do contractors need to register in Glenview?

General and demolition contractors do. Glenview requires registration with a surety bond, insurance and workers' compensation proof before work begins. We confirm registration and licenses for every trade on your project.

Who pulls the permits?

We pull the required permits for work we contract and coordinate inspections.

How do you choose the crews who work on my home?

We vet every contractor. Some jobs take 60–80 bids because many don't call back, don't show up, aren't insured, or are booked months out. We screen for insurance before anyone is put on your project.
